October 27, 2020, 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. (EDT)
1:30 PM | Bruker Virtual Sponsor Room: Visit Bruker’s Virtual Sponsor Room on Tuesday, October 27 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM EDT to learn about the latest in nanoindentation and atomic force microscopy including the revolutionary nano infrared spectroscopy AFM systems and how these technologies will help your research. Our team will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding your specific laboratory needs. Check the Online Scheduler and/or Mobile App for details. |
1:30 PM | Thermo Fisher Scientific Virtual Sponsor Room: As the complexity of materials increases, the challenge in completely understanding them becomes more complex too. It’s increasingly rare to get all the answers required from one analysis to satisfy your customer, your advisor, or even just your curiosity! In this presentation we will give a demonstration of sample analysis using the Thermo Scientific Nexsa Surface Analysis System, showing how the state of the art combination of co-incident XPS, ISS, Raman, REELS and UPS, coupled with the MAGCIS dual mode ion source, is capable of meeting the analytical challenges faced by today’s scientists and engineers. Join us to see the instrument in action! Check the Online Scheduler and/or Mobile App for details. |
October 28, 2020, 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. (EDT)
1:30 PM | MKS Virtual Sponsor Room: Please join MKS’ Virtual Sponsor Room immediately following today’s session where you will be able to see our vacuum related products. MKS experts will be available to answer your questions regarding your laboratory needs. Check the Online Scheduler and/or Mobile App for details. |
1:30 PM | Pfeiffer Virtual Sponsor Room: Vacuum system maintenance: What should you do to lower your cost of ownership and increase your equipment longevity while still operating at high performance? R&D labs often neglect to include the maintenance of an OEM or custom built vacuum system in their budgets. But most components require replacement and preventative maintenance to keep fully functional. In this webinar, we will review important guidelines and practical maintenance procedures for optimal performance and longevity for vacuum pumps and appropriate vacuum accessories. Please join Pfeiffer Vacuum for this informative 40-minute webinar on October 28 at 1:30 pm EDT. October 29, 2020, 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. (EDT)
1:30 PM | SAES Getters Virtual Sponsor Room: We would like to inform you about The SAES GETTERS webinar on the latest developments in terms of getter alloys: the ZAO. This novel material allows for the use of Non Evaporable Getter (NEG) pumps in unprecedented pressure regimes, e.g. at 1E-5 Pa (1e-7 Torr), historically inaccessible for NEGs. At the same time, the ZAO alloy can be “fine-tuned” to deliver the highest pumping speeds for H2, matching the requirements of experimental setups running at extremely low pressures, down to 1E-10 Pa (1e-12 Torr). The webinar will give an overview of the capabilities of ZAO based pumps in real systems, encompassing high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum applications. The webinar will be held on Thursday, October 29, at 1:30 pm (EDT) within the AVS 67 Virtual Showcase. Please, register at the link https://www.saesgetters.com/webinar2 to learn more.” |
